Spirituality: Becoming A Spiritual Person - Part 2

The opening caption for this Spirituality Blog is new in 2008. This year the stakes are raised and so are the costs. We have moved beyond basic principles of spirituality established in 2007 and are focusing on the nuts and bolts, the meat versus milk, for mature hearts serious about becoming a spiritual person. We continue from Part One written January 17, 2008.

My Spirit vs His Truth

We left off saying that friends walk together. That is why the new caption at the beginning of the Spiritualiy Blog mentions to "follow with" God.

Most of today's relationships, even in the churches, are superficial, hypocritical, cheap or self-glorying. How we are with people is directly caused by how we are with God. The proof of this lies in a profound statement that transcends all earthly things:

1 Corinthians 2:10-12 (in Context)

"11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. "

Every human relationship sources from my spirit's relationship with God. If I am honest with God, I will be honest with every person. If I am a liar with God, I will lie to any person. If I reverence God, I will automatically respect every human being, for they are created in the very image of God. If I lightly regard and disrespect God, I will routinely disrespect, humiliate, belittle or despise people -- even my friends.

My spirit (which only God knows and those to whom He might reveal it) tells it all. What is the real me cannot help but express itself. It cannot hide, but is naked before my Creator. This is why the "Spirit of God" wrote through his Apostle, Paul, about the spiritual powers latent in the Bible:

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I will now combine God's truth about the human spirit with God's truth about his "friends".

Heaven's Definition of a Friend of God

John 15:14-16 (King James Version

14 "Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."

Perhaps now, you can understand why the Lord is telling us that most relationships with God, even in the churches, are superficial, hypocritical, cheap and self-glorying.

If a friend tells you his/her innermost secrets and feelings about something, does it change you? Do you continue on with your life just as if you never knew what they said?

Am I Superficial With God and People?

From the above scripture, observe that a "friend" of God is easily revealed, exposed and cannot be hidden, because his/her spirit responds instantly to a message from God.

A superficial relationship with God, which spills over into your relationships with people -- even friends -- is one in which you hear a message from God but take no action on it. You are all talk.

You talk about the messages from God, enjoy the messages from God, maybe even tell someone else how great a message you have heard from God or about God -- but you pay no price!

We all pass through this phase of superficiality and ingenuineness as a spiritual person. We like being thought of as spiritual, but have not gotten to know God enough to realize that when He speaks, it is not hot air. He expects, even demands, corresponding action:

"When God speaks, it is not just hot air!"

Many of us make the mistake of thinking that relationships are a one time thing that we achieve and there it is forever. Wrong! With God, each time you hear a message from him, he is expecting you to respond, alter the course of your life accordingly.

Altering the course of your entire future (which you cannot know) to correspond to what you hear from God "today" (which you do know) is where "paying the price" for the relationship comes into focus.

It is what Christ Jesus calls "faith". In that process of what you are willing to lay down, forsake, give up, abandon to be loyal to God's revealed will to you is where you learn if you are superficial or genuine, spiritual or just talk.

It is what Christ Jesus calls "taking up your cross and follow me." It is where you learn if you are a friend of God or just hanging around. God is not cheap. Don't think that you are going to ask things of Him and it is not going to mean a major change is required of you.

22 ... Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Pause and think about His message to us through this Spirituality Blog, today. We will continue, God willing, tomorrow in hopes that you are becoming a truly spiritual person in 2008.

Becoming A Spiritual Person in 2008

FOUNDATION: Does God See You As A Spiritual Person?

It does not matter if you think you are a spiritual person or if your associates think of you as "so spiritual". The only truth about who you are spiritually is what Christ Jesus says about us.

Most of today's relationships, even in the churches, are superficial, hypocritical, cheap and self-glorying. This can only be because people are that way with God.

Spirituality: 2008 Spirituality and Media Communications

Purpose of This Media Spirituality Message

You should pay strict (the term "strict" is used with purpose and reserve) heed to this particular Spirituality Blog message - The Spirituality of Media. The price I had to pay to get this particular message to you was rather steep. You are worth it to God.









The purpose of this Spirituality Blog has always been to teach you how to connect with God, how to have measurable friendship with Him and how to reduce (first in yourself, then in others) the power of Evil in this world. At this website, you have been taught that you must enter the spirit-world -- where God is.

God --the Bible teaches -- is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must do so with their human spirit, by obeying God's truth.

You have also learned at this website that to "legally" tap into the spirit-world (aka spirit-realm) you must go through the only legal entry -- Jesus Christ. (Reference: John 4:24, John 14:6)

There are many illegal, counterfeit and imposter ways of accessing the spirit-world. This means that there is a complete realm with spirit beings, other than God, who offer and seek communications with you ... to destroy you. You enter at your own peril ... and peril will surely come.

Observe several spirit-world beings: God, the Devil (aka Satan), angels, and a very unique spirit who had incarnated into human flesh! This person was acknowledged by the Devil to be someone unique, with special access that the devil wanted, powerful and a threat to the devil's singular rule of evil:

Now, observe the various ways that Satan sought to tap the special, unique, spiritual access and powers that only Jesus Christ has:




1. Verse 3 - Indulge yorself in bread (things for your body or person) that "I" persuade you to take.

Some things in this earth are not evil of themselves, but become evil when they are being used, or have been used, for the pleasure of an evil spirit.

The fat epidemic in America, for example, is sourced from the spirit-world ... from the devil's realm of the spirit-world. Evil spirits persuade you to eat things and amounts that bring you under their power and make you destroy your body.

Media communications is another method and one of the most powerful tools that Satan uses to bring evil spiritual power and control upon you.

Media communications has been a primary tool to trigger, drive, awaken, increase or deposit cravings in people. Food cravings are only one kind of craving that spiritual mediums working through media are responsible for. These evil spirits lure you to so-called food stuffs that manufacture or prepare the body for fat and all that goes with fat -- physical, mental and emotional side effects.



2. Verses 5 & 6 - Show off how smart and powerful you really are with some amazing act that would usually hurt any normal person -- but of course, your're smarter, so it won't hurt you. You are not like other people.

This is the power of the Evil one revealed in alcohol, cigarettes, and other vainly, puffed up imaginations about one's human intellectual prowess. Everyone who takes up these actions thinks he or she will not be overcome by them.

Everyone who has one cigarette that he or she "enjoys" always has another, until it is no longer something you "just tried". It has become a regular part of your life and budget -- whether daily, only weekly or monthly -- it's in there. Often, one's first encounter with the thought of smoking is having seen it in a film, movie, theatre or television show.

Often, a person's encounter with heavier drugs or marijauna comes through media exalting the drug infested partying, sexualities, and rich lifestyle kingdoms possessed by music and song recording artists or others that the public idolizes.



3. Verses 8 & 9 - Indulge yourself in earthly influence over people, power that "I" can give you over individuals because I have it over them.

Dealings with certain individuals or groups can be contaminated with evil power. Satan often gains access to your innermost thoughts and feelings through the relationships he binds you to via communications with various "mediums": recording artists, movie stars, idols, sports figures, performing artists, musicians.

The original and true purpose of ALL media and of those artists who use them (music, song, film, art, dance, etc.) is to turn and fill your human spirit (heart/conscience), your human soul, (mind-will-emotions)and your human body with the presence, peace and power that is in your Creator.

Media that does not help you turn to or meditate in the spirit of God is waste. It stealthily "awakens" the inward parts of your being that are contaminated (in all of us) from the evil spiritual realm and therefore it is weakening you down!

It is your responsibility to prevent this from happening to you. It is your responsibility to prevent evil entering into children, infants and toddlers, for they have no strength against adults. God holds you accountable and punishable for all damage to the tender spirits of children within your control and sphere of influence.

You can purchase, save, borrow or receive a gift of a television control device that filters out profanity and other things. You can disconnect television and only use the monitor for clean videos and dvd's that you select! It is your duty to God and yourself to do eveything you can to prevent Evil coming into your spirit via media.

Media that takes your mind off God, will not prepare you for the times of trouble from the Evil one. Media that takes your mind off God will not get you that miracle that you need.

These are the kind of persons who can be an invisible network, a community, of spiritual persons with power to reduce evil in this world.

God Chooses The Time

... See that the Lord did not take immediate action visible to mankind. He did, however, take action. What action, you say? He had privately, in His heart, made a decision -- He would go raise Lazarus back to life. Then He said, "let's go".

Time passing in earth is a great thing, because meanwhile ... back at Heaven's throne ... God is thinking and making a decision about you!

Earth Time Is Required To See Human Hearts

17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.

18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:

19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.

20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.


... Since Jesus had not shown up and it was known by many that He had been notified of His loved one's death, time was effective in the spirit-world to reveal the true thoughts of various hearts. Time passing was critical to see what some of the family "friends" thought about Jesus, even what His "friends" truly thought about Him.

Likewise, God uses time to let Himself confirm and to let you discover what is really in your heart. We would be surprised to learn some of the things that we are capable of thinking or considering in our minds and, after the pressure of time passing without visible response from God, some of the things that we would actually do (we would never have believed it was in us). Only time passing can bring these things out.

4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

TIME: Sets Up and Reveals Your Faith

Faith in God is the only power we have to access gifts from Heaven such as healing, deliverance from prisons of addictions, restoring the emotionally crushed and bruised, freedom from the oppression that is in poverty.


The following verses reveal how certain ones were beginning to question, doubt, be double-hearted, waiver and even completely lose faith that God could do anything about the situtation, or even intervenes in these kinds of "earthly" affairs. Some who were slipping received strength to "grab hold" to their weakening faith and be strong! "Time" was the hidden driver moving all things into place -- events, hearts, decisions, actions.

33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled.

34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

35 Jesus wept.

36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

This New Year, let time become your counseling companion. Let time help you to seek and obtain the best things God has for you, which can only be accessed through Jesus Christ letting you into the spirit realm. Let experiencing the spirit realm become a patient journey of daily advice from the lips of Jesus Christ via scripture and those He chooses.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Time - A Spirituality Highlight To Begin 2008

I have tried everyday to write this Spirituality Blog for you, but Evil powers that daily oppose God's will in all our lives have been working troubles that prevented it. This keeps me reminded of the very first thing the Lord Jesus Christ trained in me,when pastoring full time back in 1987.

The HOLY Spirit said, "Time belongs to Me."

Spirit World Time versus Earth Time

If you will obey God's will that you be led by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the only legal entry into the spirit-world, you will learn that Jesus NEVER MOVES UNDER MAN'S PRESSURE. We must all master this strength with Him, to be truly spiritual persons with power to reduce Evil in this world. God's time is not earth's time. SPIRIT WORLD TIME is NOT EARTH TIME.

28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.

29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.

30 Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.

31 The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there.

32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled.

34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

35 Jesus wept.

36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.

47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,

50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.

Today I have revised with more information the December 28th Spirituality Blog. Please go there. I am not quite up to speed yet. The person who betrayed me took the computer they had given to the Lord for this ministry, so I have had to find access to a computer when I can. When it is the Lord's full timing, that hindrance from the Evil one will be halted. Thanks for your prayers in the Name of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
